Mali was once part of three famed West African Empires, which included: Mali, Songhai, Ghana. It's developed in Western Africa because of their natural resources. Mali's landforms are mostly Savanna grassland that rolls into higher plateaus as you
move north. There's important rivers in Mali which are the Niger and Senegal. These are considered to be Mali's lifeblood, it's source of food, drinking, water, irrigation, and transportation. The ancient civilization of Mali was located on the lower part of Western Africa, near the Niger River. Mail's climate is subtropical to arid, hot and dry in February through June.
